Courses in Winter Term 2003 (January to April)

Introduction to Sociology SOCI 1001B

I team teach introductory with Erin Steuter. We teach it both in the fall and in the winter. This term I have taken on the task of developing a web site for the course.

Sociological Research Methods SOCI 3301

I have taught research methods for many years. My methods courses have always included extensive hands-on computer data analysis. I have no extensive plans on the moment for web work here. I make extensive use of the FirstClass conferencing system in this course.

Law in Canadian Society SOCI 3701

This is a course in the sociology of law that concentrates on Canadian society. Students will be exposed to relevant social theory as well as case materials in many areas of the law.

The Sociology of Cyberspace SOCI 3631

This is a course in the sociology of the Internet and communications technology.

Technology and social change SOCI 2601

This is an introductory course in the sociology of technology.
